ALBACORE: Only rain and bad weather are keeping boats from exploring a huge pocket of 63 degree water sitting 160 miles south of San Diego. The Royal Polaris, Fishermen's Landing in San Diego, was just starting a long range trip and was motoring through the area on its way south toward Cabo San Lucas. They reported plenty of jig-strikes with few bait fish on albacore to 20-0.
