Rafting To Cabo

From The New Yorker:

In addition, Neutrino was going to have to quit for the Mexican summer, which is severe and also brings chancy storms. Eventually, he will reach Cabo San Lucas, at the end of Baja, a trip of about eight hundred miles, where he will convert the raft into an oceangoing one, mainly by changing the bow; then he will head into the Pacific.

You have to read the whole thing...

Celebrating Graduation In Cabo San Lucas

From PressTelegram.com:

Area graduates are celebrating in different ways, from trips abroad to quiet dinners. Graduation is a time of mixed emotions for students who say they are excited to be moving on to another stage of life but reluctant to bid farewell to their friends.

"It's sad and happy at the same time because we are getting older," said Jenny Saem, 18, a senior at Lakewood High School.

...Monica Trigoso, senior class president at Long Beach Poly High School, will vacation later this month at Cabo San Lucas with friends.

"We're really looking forward to a chance to relax and spend some time together before we separate," she said.

Check Out The Photos

From One man's view on life, love, law:

Overall a great trip. Don't ask Aurora about the pirate ship cruise we went on - I don't think she remembers much about the Buccaneer cruise, however.

Check out the photos of Cabo San Lucas.

From San Diego Business Journal:

When Aeromexico resumes its nonstop, twice weekly route from San Diego to Mexico City on July 7, it will become one of four airlines serving Lindbergh Field with international flights.

The flights will depart on Thursdays and Sundays.

Aeromexico’s direct route to Mexico City was halted in 2000. It was resumed briefly in 2001 and discontinued again.

All routes lead to Cabo San Lucas...or something like that...

Amazing Change of Water Temperatures

From SignOnSanDiego.com:

Cabo Frio: Larry Edwards of Cortez Yacht Charters reports "an amazing change of water temperatures" off Cabo San Lucas. The water dropped and ranged from 58 degrees at Cabo Falso – "Salmon-catching water temperature," Edwards said – to 74-75 degrees just above the Gordo Banks. Edwards said an unusual current rolled by Cabo. Despite the cooler water, yellowfin tuna fishing saved the day in some areas.
